Henry Ford Got It Right.

As Henry Ford said, "Whether you think you can, or you think you can't—you're right."

The most important conversation you'll have all day is the one happening inside your own head. It's the key to making your vision stick.

You have to believe in what's possible for you before you ever see the results.

What that means for you is trading your inner critic for high-quality thoughts. And the real value is the confidence you feel knowing how capable you are.

Imagine this, your family is gathered at your dining room table in your dream home. Your kids are eating their dinners and laughing as they tell you about your day when your husband slides his hand across the table and gives yours a little squeeze.

This moment. This joy. This peace. This connection. This, you realize as you smile, is everything you’ve prayed for.

Knowing what you’re capable of achieving is a game changer, right?!

Then what do you do when you find yourself in a place of doubt or disbelief?

Give this exercise a try.

Write a letter from future you to your current self detailing how your life has changed as a result of your vision coming to life.

Examples might look like:

  • Using the scenario above, you might detail how creating peace in your home actually strengthened your relationship with your husband. For the first time in years you're going on a vacation just the two of you.

  • Your future self might say that when you got the promotion, you used the extra money to pay off debt and then qualified for a second mortgage to invest in rental properties. You're having so much fun in real estate that you have plans to leave your full-time job.

  • Or, when you finally got that Master's Degree, your future self might share that you moved across the country for your dream job at Amazon HQ where you fell in love with a coworker, got married and are expecting your first baby.

Writing a letter from the perspective of your future self helps you to dream again where your imagination frees you from the confines of your current reality to see what's possible.

In seeing with your imagination you start to believe in what you're capable of achieving. And through believing you start to see your reality change.

You're ready to change your current circumstances, aren't you? It’s time you believe in what's possible for you, friend.
