Breaking Down Limiting Beliefs.
Last week I was on a call listening to women spew limiting belief after limiting belief.
As a coach, my heart broke.
What’s a limiting belief?
It’s a thought or belief that keeps you stuck.
It places a limit on what’s possible based on how you see yourself and/or the world.
Let me give you an example.
A woman was nervous to get into real estate because she'd drive up home values and cause property taxes to increase.
The average person would hear this comment and move on.
As a coach, I heard this woman hindering her success.
She didn’t want to burden her neighbors with higher property taxes.
There’s an underlying narrative that says if she causes their taxes to go up, they won’t like her.
That’s the value a coach brings.
A coach hears the narrative behind the words and helps you manage your mindset.
What that means to you is having a trained professional pinpoint the thought(s) keeping you stuck.
And the real value is value is consciously making decisions about your line of work.
